LOGO PROJECT

Microsoft's window system was one of the most popular and most common computer systems that have dominated computer market in the past decade, but Apple’s mactonish system has been gradually accepted by most of people. I decided to make this image that shows the computer competition of the current trend.

Chance Project

I decided to make a picture of all the cars that were looking for parking in the afternoon of September 13.

First step: find a spot around a busy area so you will have enough people looking for parking.

Second step: observe the cars that are looking for parking and take picture of each car.

Third step: take some more pictures of those cars that have been driving passed by more than 2 times.

Forth step: combine those pictures with photoshop, and determine the transparency of each picture from the number of how many times of the cars have passed. The more frequent a car has passed, the more opacity the picture is going to be.

culture jamming

Culture jamming is usually describes as a tactic used by consumer social movements to disrupt mainstream cultural intuitions.  This is when people are influenced by the trend that was popular during the period; it could mean something significant to the society in the positive way or the negative way. I think that not all the influences made by culture jamming were good for the people; instead of following it and let it manipulate people, they should really see the society without outside influences.

Tehching Hsieh

This is just a site I found about the person that tied himself with another person for a year without touching her. He also has some other interesting projects like put himself in a cell room for a year and not receive any information from outside.

Ben Rubin

He created two different sound waves and put them in the oscilloscope, and combined them with different combinations. Different combinations make different shape of state.
